I am finally figuring out that I would have better luck with green onions if I make sure I have a better soil with lots of compost and a add something like peat moss to make a lighter weight soil. I just planted my greenhouse up here in the yukon and am heating it at night to keep the plants from frosting. I started all of them inside, but my front window was getting too small for them all.
