When I started this blog it was just to be able to sign on and comment on another blog. Then, I thought I would use it to make money, but... I have never even tried to and I truly don't care if I ever do. It is sort of a therapy for me and a way to connect with others that I have common ground with. I use it to gain knowledge about life, homeschooling, my Christianity, and share information. Honestly, I thought I would be able to share the experience of what it is like to be a homeschool family when your husband is a public school teacher (or if the wife was), but I am finding that not to be as rare as I assumed it was. I just wanted to let you all know I see you! ... and I am glad to have you here!
One more thing... Are there any men bloggers out there. I would really like to start reading some posts from Christian male bloggers. I would love to have my husband read some of it, too and I sooooo believe that men should be "teaching" and not just us women. Blogging could be a great tool for that!!! Do you know any good ones to share with me!!???

I too love comments. I started this blog journey to follow a friend and to be able to comment on her blog. It has been a blessing to connect to other homeschool mothers, learn new things and in the process it has helped my family. Voddie Baucham has a blog....it may not be what you are looking for, but that is the only one, I know of right now.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog and not commenting but it's because when I do comment, I forget to go back to check to see if the blogger answered my question...haha! That said...I, too, am a wife of a public school teacher and coach! Our oldest is in public school, homeschooling 1 and 2 others waiting their turn to be homeschooled! So...you aren't alone!! ~DIANA
ReplyDeleteHey Shannon!
ReplyDeleteAww, you're so sweet. One of the most popular Christian male bloggers is challies.com. My husband (and I) love that blog!
Catherine :)
Hi Shannon, just popped over from your comment on my blog. What a beautiful family you have. That baby girl is positively huggable!
ReplyDeleteI second the Voddie Baucham blog. Also, Doug Phillips has a blog on the Vision Forum website. Can't really think of any others right now.

HI Shannon,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to thank you for he sweet and most encouraging comment you left on my blog a few days ago. It may have been longer but life is a blur right now and when I think I've commented back, I haven't . YOU, my friend, are so good at commenting. I always think I'm going to go back and do it and then someone starts crying or calling for mommy. :) I appreciate you and am so glad we're blogging buddies. :)
I can't remember how I found you but I want you to know I have enjoyed reading your blog :)
